Before Your Visit
A little preparation makes all the difference.
Your safety, comfort, and overall experience are at the heart of everything we do. Before your appointment, please take a moment to review the information below. Understanding how to prepare, what to disclose, and when to contact us helps ensure your treatment is approached with care and consideration.
-
Please notify R+ Aesthetics before your appointment if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; have allergies, a bleeding disorder, an autoimmune condition, or a condition affecting healing; are immunocompromised; or have experienced complications from a previous cosmetic treatment. Disclose all prescription medications, over-the-counter products, supplements, and recent changes to your health. Certain conditions or medications may affect which treatments are appropriate for you. Your health history will be reviewed before treatment. Some services may require additional medical clearance or may need to be postponed.
-
If you have a history of cold sores or fever blisters, please let us know before scheduling lip filler, lip blush, or other treatments involving the lips or surrounding skin. Procedures around the mouth can trigger a cold sore outbreak. Preventive antiviral medication may be appropriate for some patients and should be discussed with an authorized prescribing healthcare provider before treatment. If you have an active cold sore or experience early symptoms such as tingling, burning, or itching, please contact us before your appointment. Treatment may need to be rescheduled until the area has healed.
-
Please contact us before your visit if you are feeling unwell or have a fever, active infection, rash, open wound, or significant irritation in the planned treatment area. Also let us know about recent dental procedures, vaccinations, surgery, cosmetic injections, chemical peels, laser treatments, or other skin procedures. Depending on the service and your medical history, treatment timing may need to be adjusted. If you are unsure whether a recent event affects your appointment, please reach out before arriving.
-
Preparation varies depending on the service you have booked. Please review any instructions provided in your appointment confirmation or pre-treatment communications. Arrive with the treatment area clean when instructed, and share any recent skincare products, prescription treatments, or procedures that may affect your skin. Do not discontinue prescribed medications, including blood thinners, without guidance from the healthcare professional who manages them. If you are uncertain about medication or skincare restrictions, please contact us before your appointment.
-
R+ Aesthetics operates by appointment. Complimentary uncovered parking is available. Please text upon arrival. To preserve a calm, focused treatment environment, please do not arrive early or bring additional guests or children unless arrangements have been approved in advance. Deposits are non-refundable. Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours' notice are subject to a fee of 50% of the scheduled service; within 24 hours and no-shows are subject to 100%. Late arrivals may require an abbreviated appointment or rescheduling. Please review the complete booking policy provided during scheduling.
-
Your care continues beyond your appointment. Treatment-specific aftercare instructions will be provided as appropriate for your service. Please follow those instructions carefully and contact R+ Aesthetics promptly if you experience an unexpected reaction or have questions about your recovery. Some treatments require follow-up appointments or additional sessions. Individual responses and results vary. If you experience severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, seek urgent medical attention rather than waiting for a routine reply.
